The official Chinese proficiency test, level 4 (intermediate).
Overview
Practise HSK 4 in the format that took effect in December 2025: Listening, Reading and Writing. Section timings and the 0–300 scale follow Hanban / Chinese Ministry of Education rules.
Format
Three sections taken in order: Listening 32 items / 20 min, Reading 32 items / 30 min, Writing 6 items / 25 min. Full mock 70 questions, 85 minutes. The 2025 revision dropped the true/false listening task and the sentence-ordering writing task, and each remaining item carries more weight.
Score system
Three section scores: Listening 0–100, Reading 0–100, Writing 0–100. Total 0–300. Official pass: 180/300 (60%). Practice converts raw correct counts onto the official 100-point-per-section scale.
